  • 400g prawns, cleaned
  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • 5 dried red chilies
  • 1 tbsp tamarind pulp
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1.5 cups water

Instructions

  1. Clean and devein prawns.
  2. Grind coconut, chilies, garlic, turmeric, and tamarind to a smooth paste.
  3. Heat oil and saute onions until soft.
  4. Add ground paste and cook until aromatic.
  5. Add water and simmer.
  6. Add prawns and cook 5-7 mins until done.
